I’ve had a lot of similar color schemes in previous posts, but hey – when something is good, it’s good. These are my favorite web color schemes of 2017; I hope you like them.
1. Matte Black, Charcoal Black, and Gold
Nothing says classy, sophisticated, and savvy like matte black, charcoal black, and gold. I’ve been using this kind of convention for some years, but new takes on an old favorite are just really aesthetically pleasing in a refreshing way. Black is the color of expensive and elegant, and gold grabs your attention and reminds people of wealth and sophistication.
2. Light Pink, Cream, and White
This combination feels sensual but delightful. Light pink was the Pantone color of the year a couple of years ago, and it keeps on showing up in high-end fashion designer lines and streetwear (outside my window in downtown Minneapolis), I think because it feels so pleasant and complimentary to a lot of other colors. Cream as well just seems to go well with a lot of things, but most of all in this combination with the white and the pink.
3. Classy Blue – Gradient
We want our web color schemes to come off as pleasant and calming, and this involves not only the color scheme but the combination of the photographic elements and our web color schemes.
4. Fresh green, plant focused
Notice I’m not advocating for just any kind of green – and I do feel like green can get overdone quickly. But with a combination of white space and green – you can make a color scheme very refreshing.
5. Gold again + Lots of white
I will say some of the accent colors in this particular design I’m not a massive fan of, but I can’t help but admire how good the whitespace + gold combination is in this design.
These are my favorite web color schemes of 2017; I hope you enjoyed!
