Let’s dive into some marketing tips!

1. Build a Brand and a Niche Market

Building a brand might be something you’ve already thought through, but I’d like to encourage you to give it some more thought if you haven’t already enacted these strategies. There are often many improvements that companies can make to their brand strategy to increase the reach of their marketing and communication strategies, which can easily lead to more leads and more business for your law firm.

What Makes Your Law Office Different

If you’re going to have a successful law firm marketing strategy, you’ll need to know what makes your law office different from all the rest. What is it that you do for every client that not all attorneys or lawyers are willing to do? Maybe you offer $0 down filing, or perhaps you’re one of the nicest lawyers in the area and you consistently have clients coming to you and saying that your service is better than anyone else they’ve worked with. Whatever if it is, own it and work towards making it something like a motto.

After you have that portion down, you want to make it known. What are you going to do for every client? Do you “work tirelessly on every client’s behalf” or “perform best in tense courtrooms.” Whatever it is, display the value that you add for your clients. If someone hires you, what are they getting?

Build and Display Credibility

As far as building a brand goes, the most important thing you can do is to build credibility with your audience. No matter who’s reading your offers online, they need to feel that you’re a credible source, and they need to know why. It’s essential in the development of a client’s perception of your brand that they trust you and your offerings in every capacity. Reviews and displaying your experience are a great way to do just that.

Successful Law Firm Marketing: Niche Market

If you’re going to have a successful law firm marketing strategy, you need to develop a niche market that you target. As a lawyer, there is no doubt an unmeasurable amount of individuals that might need your services. But, if you don’t focus on a specific group, you’ll be stuck and scattered thin. To develop a niche, you’ll need to decide what type of client works best for your firm. Maybe it depends on the kind of law they require. It might be a social issue that particularly attracts you. The key is to find a niche and point your law firm marketing in that direction.

2. Optimize Your Website

Law firm marketing strategy, optimize your website.

After you’ve built out your brand, you’ll want to optimize your website to reflect your brand and company standards. Something to note is that copy on a website is just as important as design. For that reason, consider writing and creating copy before designing a website. Many times this will help to ensure that you put the copy first on your site.

SEO and Keyword Strategy

Something that isn’t often brought up when a business is considering a website redesign or build is SEO and keyword strategy. SEO and keyword strategy could single-handily be what makes your website a success or a failure. Too much goes into a website to not stop and think for a second about the importance of and need for a search engine optimization strategy.

Mobile-Friendly

In the digital age that we live in, websites need to be mobile-friendly. This step mustn’t be missed when you’re optimizing your website. Everyone is searching from their phones these days. The statistics show that over 50% of internet usage is by mobile devices. If your site isn’t built to be mobile-friendly, then you’ll be missing out on more business than your competitors who do have a solid mobile presence.

3. Use Social Media

Social media is an excellent way to earn more business. A recent Attorney at Work study found that almost 97% of lawyers use social media for their business. The majority are active on Linked In, while most business comes in from Facebook.

Reviews and Referrals

One of the biggest and best things that come from using social media is reviews and referrals. Social media can work as an excellent tool to both collect reviews and also display them. Having 5-star reviews can be the difference between getting another client and not. Next time you have a client that has a good experience, send them a link, and ask for a review. It’s a great way to get your clients involved in referring your services.

Answer Common Questions

Consider sharing common legal questions on social media. Often, people need advice and don’t know where to turn. If you make yourself an informative resource, you’ll be sure to get more business through social media. Not to mention that this will also help you to be seen as a subject matter expert.

4. Consider Offering Live Chat on Your Website

Live chat features are great, and they aren’t going away. People love that they can almost instantly get ahold of whomever they’re looking for and that they don’t have to talk on the phone to do it. This makes it easy for those that aren’t in a position to make a phone call or who don’t want the people around them to hear their phone call.

Live chat features also help to make your website more credible. Check out these live chat statistics to learn more about what adding a live chat to your website could do to help you see more success.

5. Write Blog Posts or Articles

Blog posts or articles are a common SEO tactic used to release fresh content on the site and drive organic search results and search traffic to websites. But, another excellent part of writing and releasing blog posts can do is offer informative and helpful resources to those viewing your website. Better yet, these blogs can be shared on social media and in email lists, among other things. Consider writing some content if you’re looking to take your law firm marketing to the next level.
