Flooring Website Design Inspiration

Flooring websites tend to have an extra element of refinement and class. Here are some of our favorite sites showcasing the elegance of flooring services throughout the US.

K & M Flooring

What are they doing well?

  • We love the puppy on the hero image, as well as the photography throughout the landing page. The design elements don’t take away from these high resolution photos. Overall, K & M does a nice job of utilizing white space and gives users room to relax and enjoy the images.

What may not be working well?

  • The color palette is different shades of beige. It might be better to have one consistent shade used throughout with white, black and the textured patterns so that everything is simpler, more cohesive, and more recognizable. Additionally, maybe be a little more choosy with the open space. It works well in some areas, and in others, the information tends to get a little lost.

Here is an great example of flooring contractor website design from K & M Flooring

Chicago Hardwood Flooring

What are they doing well?

  • The full width hero image does a nice job of showcasing the work with a high-resolution photograph. It can be tough to make a san-serif seem polished, modern and sleek, but this site does it really well, along with a minimal use of red as an accent color.

What may not be working well?

  • This website is really clean and polished, so a better favicon would top off the whole web experience nicely.

Champion Floor Company

What are they doing well?

  • The entire site has a very clean and fresh look. We like seeing the finished services, as well as smiling faces of customers. It has an overall friendly, and family-oriented feel.

What may not be working well?

  • Champion has great testimonials that show so many satisfied customers. Maybe find a way to connect the project images with the testimonials they are for.

Boone Flooring

What are they doing well?

  • These are some nice photographs showcasing previous work. High resolution photos can make any site pop by letting the work speak for itself.
  • There are some nice clear callouts and navigating the site and finding information easy and straightforward.

Banner Text: "Complimentary Website Audit: Unlock Your Winning Strategy"
Bold Text: "Claim Yours Now"
Note with Arrow: "Exclusively for Home Service Companies"

Background: Dark with a subtle pattern.
  • The welcome to the page is close to the bottom and gets lost. It might be better towards the top along with a call-to-action to learn more about the company and it’s services.

Amber Flooring

What are they doing well?

  • The common theme with the flooring contractor websites is great photography. The full width photos work great in the hero image. We also really like the use of icons. They are subtle and make the site seem very put together and trustworthy.

What may not be working well?

  • While the full width photo is nice in the hero image, I’m not sure if it is working throughout the rest of the site. Maybe increase the margins a little more with the rest of the content.

Brenner Floors

What are they doing well?

  • The intro video is really fun! We like seeing the behind-the scenes work, and the video really pulls the viewer in.

What may not be working well?

  • We wish there was more content on the landing page. Users will most likely click through the site more if things like blogs, examples from the gallery, and other options are accessible from the landing page.
