That is the question that we will be going over. We will be looking at some of the SEO benefits it can bring, as well as other general benefits that you should be considering when you are thinking about if this accreditation is worth it or not.

What the BBB Does

The BBB has been around since 1912 and was made to help people with their purchasing decisions. According to their website, they are evolving to meet the needs of a fast-changing market while also setting standards for ethical business behavior and compliance. The main purpose of this organization is to help customers identify trustworthy businesses so customers can have a better experience.

They do this by evaluating thousands of advertisements, charities, and practices of businesses so they can keep businesses honest about what they are doing and ensure that people can trust them and what they are saying.

The short and sweet answer to these questions – yeah, it can help a little. It isn’t going to take you from zero to hero by any means but it isn’t going to leave you with nothing either.

And if you’re wondering why a review is such a big deal, think of it as if you were the potential customer looking to hire someone. Chances are that you want to see what their quality of work is like, what they were like to work with, and if they are trustworthy.

When people see high ratings on BBB, it has a much better chance at converting into a few more of those leads into sales because they like what they see, making that investment on a BBB accreditation worth it!


So when it comes down to it, there are some beneficial advantages of being a BBB accredited business to help you boost your SEO, however, they are pretty minimal. Some of the biggest benefits that you will see though are through the trust that it will support you with. It will by no means make or break your business, but having a nice little boost never hurt anyone. This is one of those things where the more stamps of approval your company has, the better.
